“In a different life, in a fair one, I would’ve kept you until my eternal soul withered away to dust,” he vowed to her.
“Good girl,” he murmured.
Her heart rate began to slow. The temperature in the room seemed to drop thirty degrees, and her head began to swim.
“Hello, Ophelia,” the Shadow Voice hissed as it stepped into view. It seemed to smile as it spoke, though it was only made of shadows and swirling tendrils of smoke.
“How did you get out?” She fought to contain the tremble in her voice. “You let me out. When you gave in to my wicked desires.”
“You killed Cade with your bare hands, and now you have unleashed me on the world.”
“He will always come to me,” she whispered. “We find each other every time. And you cannot stand that, because it means I’m no longer alone with you.”
“But I felt you calling. I’ve never had that sort of connection with any other contestant before.
“I would stay on my knees all night if you wanted,” he vowed, heat sparking in his eyes. “Just let me stay. Let me hold you.”
“I’m going to devour your pussy and drink every sweet drop you give me. Then I’m going to fuck you until the only thing you can think or speak is my name. I’m going to make sure I bury myself so deep inside of you that neither of us will be able to tell where I end and you begin.”
“You get so fucking wet for me,” he said, his voice becoming gruff as his own arousal grew.
“I know you want my cock inside of you, angel. Be a good girl and say the word.”
“That’s my good girl,”
“Yes, Miss Grimm,” he drawled. “Your every wish is my command.”
“You’re a menace.” “Only to you.” She grinned, smug. “And it’d better stay that way,”
“I never want another soul to touch you like this. Only me.”
“I will fuck you until you tell me you can’t remember a single other lover’s name.” Out. “Until you can’t remember your own name.” In. “Until nothing else exists but this.” Out. “Us.” In.
“My father is the reason our mother died. It wasn’t a heart attack. It was this level. He must have… he must have guessed incorrectly.”
He would be every bit of good she so desperately wanted to see in him as long as she was safe. But now… now he’d tear the world to shreds.
“Salemaestrus Erasmus Blackwell, I am hereby sentencing you to my newest creation—Phantasma. A place of nightmares that you will rule with no memory of the traitorous little bastard you’ve become to me—and maybe you’ll eventually learn how to deserve your title of Prince of the Devils. You will belong to Phantasma and myself evermore—unless you find the heart and a key to set you free,” the King invoked.
A golden, heart-shaped locket.
The matter of my soul will always have your name etched into it.
“What’s the point of having the full range of my power if not to spoil you? Convince the bank you paid off your house… take you on extravagant vacations… buy you all the pretty things you desire… I’m here to serve.” He brushed a kiss onto her lips as she rolled her eyes.
“Actually, I’ll need every second of the eternity you promised me to do what I have planned for you.”
