Am I even dumber for contemplating allowing him to walk me home and discover where I live? Absolutely. So, tell me why, when I look into his eyes, all rational logic flies out the window and I nod my head yes as I begin my walk home like normal, sans headphones.
“So, what now?” I ask. “Now,” he starts, his hand on my thigh, squeezing tightly. “You’re mine.”
“I can’t leave my woman wanting. I’ll give you a ten second head start,” he says as he pulls away his hands and begins rolling up the sleeves of his shirt to his elbows. “Your woman?” I question dubiously, despite the hard thudding of my heart at his words. “I told you that you’re mine. I meant it.”
for some idiotic reason, I no longer feel threatened by him. He’s too obsessed with me, whether that’s good or not. I truly don’t think he’d ever hurt me or let anyone else hurt me.
That’s the thing about the Graves brothers, though. We aren’t known for doing the right thing.
