the store manager, is on a ladder next to the front door, hanging decorations in the window. I stop and watch with a frown as she pastes a jolly Santa to the glass. There is also a small Christmas tree with delicate ornaments hanging from its branches tucked into the corner, along with a little pile of wrapped presents.
Kate really dislikes Christmas decorations encroaching upon Halloween and I agree!
