“Yes, you illiterate backwater hick.”
Scythe glances down at our regina’s teeth marks on my forearm. I salted them to keep them there and wear them like a badge of honour. These beautiful indentations will be something I treasure forever.
But fuck them all, because I was the one who saw her first. And I’m the one who fell in love with her first.
The fact that we now both know I’m his regina gives me extra right to do so. The anima in me agrees. We give the orders around here. Full stop.
“Blowing up a building is the very least I would do to get to you.”
“I want you more than anything in this world. Let me show you. Let me make it up to you.
“Needing you is something I can’t fight anymore.” He swallows. “I won’t fight it. It was the worst mistake of my life trying to keep away from you.”
“I’ll do whatever you say. I’ll do whatever it takes to make you happy.
“Is Lyle in the group chat now?” Savage grumbles. “Fucking hell, now there’ll be no fun at all.” “You’re wrong,” Xander chuckles. “Shit just got a whole lot more interesting.”
She raises her hand and asks, “I have another question, sir. Why does a pack naturally want to question their regina’s dominance? What makes them want to test her so badly?”
don’t raise your brow at me, it turns me on.”
“Xander!” I shout. But the dragon just closes his eyes and shrugs. “Not my circus, not my monkey.”
You are more beautiful than reality when you sleep. Even more beautiful now, with your mark visible to me
Then Savage’s faint voice sails over the choked silence. “She’s the Goddess of my black heart, my regina. Isn’t she perfect?”
“I did not exist before you.”
I feel the wetness of his tears as he whispers, “I love you with everything I have, Aurelia Boneweaver.”
“This is why she’s always drained,” is all I say. “Why she is always unwell.” “Fucking admit it, you cold bastard,” Lyle says. “She’s been protecting us from the Serpent Court the entire time. Protecting you.”
“If you wish to kill me for what I have done, it would be your right. I would die gladly, having known your gentle touch. I would spend my last heartbeats worshipping you.”
