“So much hope. Such a human affliction. Are your lives too short for you to learn that it’s a fruitless sentimentality to cling to?” Sighing, he shook his head and peered upward. “Still, you burn brightly, and such a life force has its uses.”
“Dying for something important is better than surviving for nothing.”
“It’s a splintered handhold that stabs rather than saves.”
“It will be a life lived truly and a life truly lived.”
