It is here where I first learned that you must be likable so that if something violent ever happens to you, others will feel you deserve help. Domestic-violence victims cannot just be victims, they must be beloved if they are going to stand a chance at justice. Those who’ve suffered the crime must be sweet enough and flawless enough for people to be willing to stand up and say something.
