Technology, in fact, is one of the keys to understanding relations between Hitler’s regime and the German business community. Whereas to Stresemann’s strategy the importance of German business had been defined by economic factors –the international competitiveness and creditworthiness of German business–the Third Reich needed German industry above all for its productive resources, both technological and organizational.
