Awakening to the presence and power of God is both a one-time event and a recurring newness we experience throughout our lives.
We know that God can and will make a way where there seems to be no way. We learned that we cannot look at our circumstances through natural eyes. When we spend time in prayer and fasting, we begin to see things differently and it allows God to move supernaturally.
There is a closeness to God that you simply will not experience from prayer or personal devotions alone. You must fast.
Fasting is also not something we do to obtain favor or forgiveness. After you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your past, present, and future sins have already been forgiven!
Instead, fasting is a way of celebrating the goodness of God and that because of Jesus we have already received God’s mercy, forgiveness, and favor.
