Moses: A Man of Selfless Dedication

Holy Spirit pens these words about the nation Israel. With your permission, I’d like to apply them in a very personal way. “He found him in a desert land, and in the howling waste of a wilderness; He encircled him, He cared for him, He guarded him as the pupil of His eye” (v. 10). The “He” of this verse is God, and the “him” is a reference to the Jews. But let’s personalize our Lord’s words here. Let’s place your name in the verse in place of “him.” God found __(you)__ in a desert land . . . God found ___(you)___ in the howling waste of a wilderness. God encircled you. Cared for you. And guarded you as the pupil of His eye.
