hormone will create a condition of thyroid resistance whereby thyroid hormone levels remain normal but tissues fail to respond as effectively to the thyroid signal as they should. Perhaps more worryingly this resistance also applies to all other hormones, e.g. insulin, progesterone, oestrogens, testosterone and even cortisol itself.
