Cole leans over and lifts my chin, staring at my face intensely like he’s trying to read my mind. “You’re tough,” he says at last. “You’ll be fine.”
He lets out a weird breathy huff. It takes a moment for me to realize that it’s actually a laugh. It’s the first laugh I’ve ever heard from him. It feels like a victory.
Right now—only in this moment—it feels like Cole needs me. Like he needs what I can give him.
I never used to feel pretty, but I almost do now—with the way Cole’s eyes are moving over my face and body.
“I know what you need.”
He’s still into this. He’s really liking it. It looks like he wants to swallow me whole. “Fuck, baby,” he mutters after several minutes. “Rub yourself off.”
“Yes,” he says between his teeth. His nostrils are flaring. His face is damp with perspiration. “That’s my girl. Just like that.”
I’ve never felt like this before. Not just physically sated. But connected. Connected. And completely safe in that connection.
“Are you gonna pretend your body doesn’t still want mine?”
If I thought I could have had a life, it always would have been with you.”
“That’s so good,” he murmurs as I come all over his hand. “You’re so hot. So responsive. You’re coming so good for me.”
“There you go. That’s so good. Keep coming for me. You need even more.” He reaches between our bodies until he finds my clit. Then he rubs it in firm circles until I’m coming again. And then again.
“Oh fuck, baby,” he chokes out, his hand growing still on my clit while the other squeezes the soft flesh of my bottom. “You’re coming so good. Keep going. I want everything.”
“Never knew what it was like,” he finally murmurs. “What?” “To have someone take care of me.”
“Are you mine to carry?”
“Del, listen to me. I’ve been in love with you from the very beginning, but I never thought I was allowed to have you.
“If you’ll do it with me. Live a life with me.”
He leans down to kiss my mouth very softly. “I love you, Del. You’ll always be my priority now.”
“I’m going to move into your house and sleep in your bed and make sure you’re safe and happy and take care of you and fuck you senseless every night. That’s how much you’re never going to be rid of me.”
“You’re doin’ so good, baby. Look at you takin’ it so well. You’re gonna come so hard. That’s my girl.”
“That’s right. Good girl. You can let go. You can give me everything.”
“Fuck,” he breathes when the contractions finally slow and soften. “Fuck, baby, you did so good. That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen.”
“I love you,” he murmurs, raising his head to give me one last kiss. “I never thought I could ever be so close to someone or be this happy. Thank you for giving me this.” “I feel the exact same way, so thank you.” He makes a throaty sound. Holds my gaze for a few seconds. “So maybe we can keep loving each other forever?”
