Ducking, she dropped her gaze to her plate. “Oh Jesus, I’m rambling. Just sucking the air right out of the—” Reaching across the small space between them, he took her hand. “Never apologize for sharing what you love,” he said, drawing her knuckles to his lips. “Especially not with me.” He should have let her go, but he couldn’t help but drag his lips over her skin once more. Without thinking, he turned her hand over, nuzzling into her palm and kissing the softness of her inner wrist. The thundering of her pulse matched his own.
