She one hundred percent owned his balls and he loved it.
It was like what dick dreams are made on.
Music, the magic elixir. The solver of problems.
“Je n’ai jamais rien voulu autant que je te veux. Tu me rende dingue.”
“Are you going to keep your promise?” “What promise is that, Tiny?” “To fuck me like I’d never been fucked.”
“Shhh, baby.” He put his finger up to my lips. “Why are you talking so much? It’s still sleep time.”
“Before we go and make coffee, you’ve got a decision to make.” “What decision?” “Do you want to get fucked in the bath or in the shower?”
“Come on, let’s get you caffeine. I’ve seen the snarky beast you become and I don’t want to stir it.”
“Hey, did you notice I didn’t argue with you about the driving?” He smirked. “I did notice, which bodes well for you. You’re finally learning I’m in charge.”
“Dude, it hasn’t been five days,” he argued again. “You met her nine months ago and you’ve been into her ever since, whether you want to admit it or not. You speak every day. And how do you know? I don’t know. You just do. When you know, you know.”
“Don’t be too hard on Coop, Fredster. You have him by the balls right now,” he whispered.
“People make mistakes, Franks. Don’t let your stubbornness get in the way of your happiness.”
Deep down I knew I didn’t want to hear his explanation because then what if I forgave him and he hurt me all over again? I knew I wouldn’t survive.
And the week we spent together was undoubtedly my happiest. Being with you made me feel more alive than I’ve ever been; more alive than every time I lace up my skates and get on the ice, more than every puck drop, or goal scored. You’ve given me life beyond hockey.
My perfect Francesca, you are missing from me, like a limb would be missing, or like my heart is missing. You are missing from me. And you are. I’m not whole without you.
You loved life and didn’t care who was around to see it. You were so refreshing and such a breath of fresh air to me; I’ve never met anyone like you. You are one of a kind.
January 27th was the day you sent me my first ever playlist. It was made up of your favorite British bands. The first song on there was Wonderwall by Oasis. We had a big game that night against Philly, and I listened to it all day. I scored four goals. I’m not saying it was because of the playlist, because I know it wasn’t. It was because of you. You’re my Wonderwall, Tiny.
I never realized how much I loved you until I left. It took me a little bit of time to get there, but I’m here now, and I’m never leaving again. Please forgive me. Please come back to me and make me whole again. I love you with all my heart and soul, forever. Coop xxxx
“Yes. I didn’t mean to break his nose, but I did tell him if he fucked you over, my fist would be in his face. And I stay true to my word. To give him credit, he took it well.”
I meant it when I said I wanted to see you in it always. I love you. Cooper xxxx
“We need to get out of here. I’m not going to be able to stop at a kiss.”
He was right; we were two halves of a whole. I had been missing a piece of him just as much as he’d been missing a piece of me. And now we were one.
I never not wanted her. We were perfect together. She’d become my best friend, the face I wanted to see at the beginning and end of every day. The ghosts of my past had been well and truly exorcised, and I couldn’t imagine ever being without her.
“Francesca Rose Elizabeth Danvers, you’re everything I never realized I wanted or needed. You’re my best friend, my favorite person in the world, and soon to be mother of my child. I love you more than I can put into words, and I’m so grateful to you every day for choosing me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I promise to spend the rest of my life working to make you as happy you make me. Baby, please say you’ll marry me.”
“Tiny, you’ve just made me the happiest man in the world, for the third time today. But, just one thing…” I mumbled against her lips, “You won’t be drinking.” She pulled back. “Oh god, this is going to be a long nine months isn’t it?”
