But I will admit I’ve enjoyed my little sips of fame. I’m not averse to admiration if I’ve earned it, but that’s not why I write. I like when people connect with my work, which is a form of love, an antidote to our universal loneliness. I also enjoy making people think and pissing them off when I show them the God they believe in is the biggest fame whore of all.
