They could be twins with their huge mustaches and walrus-shaped bodies stuffed in brown coveralls.
His attention shifts to Jeb. “You, on the other hand, will bow to her.”
“You cry for him yet bled for me. One must wonder which is more powerful.
“It was magic, I’ll admit. Misguided magic. And not mine.”
“Now, stop thinking like a human. Netherling logic resides in the hazy border between sense and nonsense.
“Don’t break my heart.”
“Seeing as we’re laying out the facts, let’s not forget that you weren’t invited to begin with.
If you try to outsmart magic, there’s always a price to be paid.”
“You’ve always been irresistible when you’re cranky.”
You’re a descendant of Queen Red. You crave chaos. You’re happiest when the world is in an uproar. You thrive on madness. Even your magic is at its best when it’s the catalyst to confusion. You still can’t admit this?”
“But let us not forget that you bled for me. So to whom do you belong, Alyssa?”
