“For some, it’s possible to restore Essence at any time, but it’s significantly quicker to regenerate when the stars aren’t veiled. That galaxy there…” Vesryn leaned toward her and pointed above the horizon. Serenna’s stomach lurched when his shoulder bumped hers. “The cluster with the blue stars in the middle and the surrounding spirals? I think that’s the Aelfyn homeworld.” Serenna released an unbidden laugh but noted Vesryn’s serious demeanor while he studied the sky. “You’re joking, right?” The prince turned to meet her gaze, his eyes bright with the light of the universe blooming above them. “I know the elves believe they originated from the stars, but aren’t those legends to make sense of their beginnings?” I doubt they’d admit they came from the same place as humans. “What makes you think that specific cluster of stars is their…homeworld?” “Don’t you feel the energy radiating from that galaxy? Doesn’t it make you want to imagine there’s something more up there?” Vesryn extended his hand as if trying to touch the astral light to harvest the gems from the blanket of sky. “Try focusing on those stars sometime when you’re regenerating. I think you’ll perceive a difference when restoring your power.”
