When I’m hungry, I eat. Pick Me girl would run away in terror if I showed her what I need in order to get off. My tastes have always been particular. But it’s like with any drug, the more you use, the harder it is to achieve the same high.
We don’t get the choice of where we originate from; but everything after is all choice.
“Light cannot exist without the dark. Good cannot exist without evil. The totality. Ergo, peace cannot exist without violence.”
Her calm surrender to logic quiets the raging storm of fury and madness which plagues my mind. By the same design, my chaotic frenzy awakens her heartsick soul with maddening vigor. One cannot exist without the other.
“Go to hell, Kallum.” His smile is wicked. “Obligingly. But only with you by my side, angel.”
“It’s heated glances and charged near touches. It’s cruel words and fiery tempers. It’s instant chemical attraction across a quad when you make that first real connection, when you feel the center of gravity shift…and you know nothing will ever be the same again.”
Peace and violence cannot reside simultaneously; one is always the answer to the other.
Our nature is to consume, to create. To hate, and love. Feel passion, and obsession. The totality, the balance. Death must exist so that life can exist. There is nothing more primary than our desire for love—and our inevitability to destroy it. All our lovely bad and beautiful things are derived from violence.
