I'm also friendly and sweet and naive except I do tend to talk way too much and I lie all the time. But you have to tell lies when somebody is judging you every minute. You have to cover yourself up with some kind of camouflage, even if that means bullshitting yourself. I do, in any case.
They represent the world, slightly romanticized. My job involves a belief in our metaphor, something I've never achieved, but the fact that I've dreamt up an interesting script seems to satisfy all concerned. Here comes the part where I have to act human.
This sounds crazy, I know, but when I saw David there with his insides exposed, the perfection thing uglified. Is that a word? I mean, perfection's like God. It only works if you want it to badly enough, or … Shit, I'm all tangled up.
