Never King. Never King. Given light, trapped in the dark. Do you hear us now, Never King?
“There is always room for nostalgia, even if it hurts.”

“Do not pretend like a man has no right to his tears,” he says around his hand.
We’ll never know because I’m the only one who knows to ask the question, and I’m also the only one who doesn’t really give a fuck.
there is no point in the future where problems do not exist. Where your doubts are no more. Your hardships gone. Where things are easy. “There is no point in the future where it doesn’t hurt right here”—I tap at my chest—“when something you love breaks or abandons you. She’s the brightest shining light in the dark. The second star on the right.
In the distance, I hear shouting, fighting, the clashing of steel, and the voices of my chosen family. The one that never abandoned me, never traded me for another, and would never betray me. I’m coming, I think to them, and I know they hear it. Somehow, through shadow and light, we are all connected now.
