Matthew D Riven is the pen name of a Christian fantasy author whose stories wrestle with grace, conviction, and unseen battles.

Raised in the American West and shaped by years of quiet reflection, Matthew writes from a place of personal transformation. Though he grew up surrounded by Scripture, it wasn’t until adulthood that the truth of the gospel pierced his heart—changing everything.

With a degree in English and a love for storytelling since childhood, he weaves together rich fantasy worlds marked by tension between illusion and truth, darkness and light. His writing is not allegory, but deeply rooted in the realities of faith, redemption, and the spiritual battle beneath the surface of everyday life.
