Alpha Heroines in romance

Romances which have heroines who are openly alpha(more than the hero) in their day to day lives and the men who love them - menage, sci-fi, romantica any romance sub-genre is fine.

It fascinates me how few romances openly recognise or deal with the power aspect between the partners in the relationship - be it financial, societal,social - apart from the s*xual and even if they do, in most instances it is always the H in alpha role, a mere reinforcement of sterotype.
