Best Gay Romance With A Character(s) Who Has A Disability
Note: I was unsure if I should use "disability" or a more current phrase like "handicapable" so I contacted a group that deals with this and they told me "disability" was fine. I mean no offense so if anybody would like this changed then please contact me and let me know...I'll adjust the title.
This is a list for mm/gay romance books that have characters with some kind of disability. These could include but are not limited to - vision impairment/blindness, hearing loss/deafness, limited mobility, prosthetic limb...etc.
This list is not about fetishism...it's about celebration and appreciation.

Would you really see that as a current phrase?? As a wheelchair user I'm glad that you didn't use that phrase becuase I'd not be to impressed!!

are there really that many books under the heading 'gay romance with a character with a disability'???"
omg. those were my exact thoughts!

Well, good that they're trying, I guess!
Forget "handicappable" or "differently abled", they just sound stupid!
The most current term these days is "person with a disability"

I love Will and Taylor, but I'm not sure why Dead Run (#134) is on this list. If it's for the temporary amnesia, I'm not sure if I would qualify amnesia as a disability...

Virginia, I and numerous other authors don't like adding their books to Best of... or Favourite… or Sexiest… etc. lists, preferring that readers do so if they deem the books qualify for such honour. Often authors who do are looked upon poorly, especially when wildly and pompously claiming theirs is better than time proven favourites or classics.
Accordingly, I have started an author friendly list here : http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/24...
I hope authors and readers will quickly populate the list.

Yes, 'Message of Love; the sequel to 'Every Time I think of You' was published last month, and deals even more thoroughly with disability of a main character. Please consider voting it up in this list. Thanks.Message of Love

I have a "name that story" question. A long time ago, I read a free online fiction (I'm pretty sure it was that) and the MCs were best childhood friends. One was confident, cocky, Italian, and the other was quiet, happy, and had Aspergers syndrome. They were neighbours and both were being raised by single moms. (I'm currently reading Bodies in Space, and it reminded me of this other story.) The story goes through them growing up. Beautiful story with scenes I will never forget.
But!
I do forget the title and author! Can anyone help me?

If you like steampunk, in Clockwork Heart one of the MCs has a mechanical hand.

please add the books you like to the list, Jazmin, so others can find them too.

Thanks, Jazmin! Anyone can add books to this list. All one has to do is go to "Add Books to This List" which is on the top-right of the list itself. For a book to be added, it needs to be in your library, meaning you have it added as a book that you've read, are currently reading, is one that you want to read, or is on some other shelf in your library. Next to each book, there will be a "add book" button, and you can click on it, and it will be added to the list.
As for what books are good or not, that's more based on each reader's personal opinions. What might be "best" for one person may be different from another.
Please add your favorites though! They would be great additions.

Someone found this book?

Someone found this book?..."
I don't know... Just have a look at the group (What's the Name of That Book???)

Yep, and no answer. So sad...
