message 10: by Vrushali (new)

Vrushali I read a story sometime back..it begins with the heroine, who owns a inn/lodge in a town which has some volcano as a tourist attraction - some scenes with ash in the air. The hero is Rafael? I think. He enters the scene and the heroine bolts. It is revealed that she is pregnant with his sperm, which was taken by his father - who married the heroine. Something about protecting the inheritance money. The hero also realises that the heroine writes erotic novels. Can anyone tell me which book this is? Thanks!

message 20: by Forever30 (new)

Forever30 I am looking for a harlequin romance book published in the 1990s. The setting is a ranch in Montana or Texas. The heroine come to work in the ranch as a young girl. She falls in love with the owners son, but the hero ignores her. When the owner dies, he leaves the ranch to her and the son, on the condition that they have to marry each other. The hero resists it, but he finally figures out he loves her when her horse gets tangle in the wire fence and she almost dies. He even wants to shoot the horse to save her.

TAMMY S Looking for a book i do believe was a harlequin presents(but not 100% sure). It would have been in the 90's time frame. It was greek hero whom believes his lover, who works for him has betrayed him, he is extremely cruel and she runs off and hides and of course has his child (a daughter). He searches for her and finds her when the daughter is four years old. He is sitting in a car watching her and I do believe that is when he first sees his daughter. The heroine sees him she is terrified, which he was searching for her still out of revenge for what he thinks she did. I remember it was a very heart wrenching story but would like to read again. I just cannot remember name or author of book, anyone have any ideas?

The Christmas Eve Bride by Lynne Graham

waltraud furbacher I am looking for a book that I read but cant remember the title ! On her wedding day, the groom never shows up. She finds out that he was kidnapped by a drug cartel and killed. finding out she is pregnant she marries an older man to give her baby a name, he dies leaving her the ranch, but she needs help running it. I believe it was five years later that her boyfriend escaped the drug cartel and returns home. He sees ad in newspaper for a ranch foreman needed and sees it is for his girlfriends ranch. the drug lords are still looking for him, so he applies under another name. He helps her run the ranch and stays to protect her from the drug cartel. Originally I think he was either a Texas ranger or he worked for the DEA.

Booklovinglady Wow, some of these authors were already writing 40 years ago, when I was a teenager...! Anne Mather to name just one; I just loved her Leopard in the Snow. Here in the Netherlands we had 'Bouquet Reeks' (published by Harlequin) and I, and my schoolmates with me, used to devour the four books published each month :-) I think 'Bouquet Reeks' still exist, by the way.

Have your tried What's the Name of That Book??? yet?

message 26: by Susan (new)

Susan Cook The plot, he seduces and marries her in a hurry. Yet as soon as they are married he locks her up and tells her it was all revenge for a car accident where he thinks she was driving that killed someone he loved. Anyone know the name of this book? Not positive if it was Harlequin or Silhouette romance but it was not blaze, desire, temptation, or super romance etc. It might have been one of the first presents... I know I am aging myself there lol.

This sounds like 'Sell me a Dream' by Penny Jordan.
