LOL.I was wondering about that because i read the first book and don't remember a gay character at all.

message 3: by Lori (new)

Lori I removed all the Twilight books. While people ARE entitled to consider the books "gay", they do not have any gay vampires...that we know of :)

message 4: by Jenn (last edited Oct 23, 2009 03:35PM) (new)

Jenn haha, i was actually just about to post the twilight series...i know we werent told edward was gay, but im pretty sure he was hiding something.....

Chanel How is Intervies with a Vampire gay?

message 10: by Carycleo (last edited Aug 10, 2011 12:04AM) (new)

Carycleo Re Chanel: "How is Interview with a Vampire gay?"
SPOILER ALERT: The sucking of blood is the sensual equivalent of sex, metaphorical sex. Louis and Lestat were lovers/haters of each other, as passionate as anyone can be. There are blood sucking scenes between them. The whole series is drenched in homoeroticism.
At least that's sure how I always read them and how I remember them (but it's been a few years).

message 11: by D.N. (new)

D.N. Simmons Anne Rice has mentioned that her vampires are bisexual. That's most likely the reason it was added.

Pretty sure they are gay, all of them. All that glitters is gay.

Eepa *mm loving bookworm* I really don't think Blind Desire has any vampires in it, even secondary characters. Not that I can remember and I have read it several times over.

It has demons, angels and humans with psychic abilities but not much else.

message 14: by Erichae (new)

Erichae Does anyone remember a novel where some old vampire had a giant house and hosted parties where a bunch of freaks would hope he bit them and some guy is dragged down there by his female friend, but ends up with the vampire himself?

message 15: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany j does anyone know the name of a novel about a powerful male vampire. his assistant/secretary is also male and in love with him but doesnt say anything. something brings the two together. i cant remeber the title or the author

message 17: by Lumina (new)

Lumina So many series. Isn't it enough with the first book in a series on the list?

message 20: by Kalamah (last edited May 12, 2016 12:26PM) (new)

Kalamah Though I haven't read it myself, going by the reviews of it, Lone by Rowan McBride is a werewolf shifter romance, not a vampire one. Is there another reason it's on the Best Gay Vampires list?

Edit:

Another shifter romance on this list: Attracting Anthony by Amber Kell.

message 21: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Posts updated to here. Above post, I think both books contain vampires but the main MC are not.

message 22: by Kaje (new)

Kaje Harper There are quite a few duplicates on this list at this point.

Acin Fals Erichae wrote: "Does anyone remember a novel where some old vampire had a giant house and hosted parties where a bunch of freaks would hope he bit them and some guy is dragged down there by his female friend, but ..."
Like a gayer, vampire-version of The Great Gatsby? That sounds awesome. I wish someone had answered in the past five years....

message 24: by J. (new)

J. Barrett Chanel wrote: "How is Intervies with a Vampire gay?"

LeStat is very much bisexual. Even in the movie, he's seen seducing and feeding from an obviously gay character.
