message 1: by Dale (new)

Dale I love this series. It is highly educational, even though it is fiction. Great stories too.

message 2: by CeJayCe (new)

CeJayCe I remember always grabbing these books when I was younger. I don't think I ever read them all, but I loved the ones I did read.

message 3: by Daria (new)

Daria I loved this series. It's just hard to find them all together because they almost all have different authors

message 4: by Sigurweissen (new)

Sigurweissen To this day, I still haven't finished this series. But it was the only reason I used to travel to the library.

There are still some I have to hunt down....

message 5: by Mary (new)

Mary Stevens I've read pretty much the whole series. I started when I was 9, and I still haven't finished it even though I'm 14 now. I believe this series is great to give to young girls, because it teaches them about prominent historical figures in a fun way. This series really got me hooked on history, and I highly reccomend it.

But I still have to finish the series... *goes off and starts hunting for books*

message 6: by Andrea (new)

Andrea I read every single one of these books between the ages of 8 and 11. Every. One. I love them and credit them with helping form my literary tastes as an adult.

message 7: by Dale (new)

Dale I read each and every one of them except for the Lady of Palenque. Just couldn't get into that one.

message 8: by Dinah (new)

Dinah I read abuot 10 of these! My goal was never to read them all which surprises me to learn that I almost did. I read them around when I was about 8 to 10...

message 9: by Allison (new)

Allison I love this series!! We have about half of them, and what we don't have-the library has! We are lucky to have an amazing library system with all these books! My favorite was Catherine, and Lady Of Palenque was just too hard to get into. :)

message 10: by Riza19 (new)

Riza19 I agree, i loved this series, it was informational, yet fiction. It opened my eyes, i started my own diary after reading this series:). Recommend this book to anyone, adult, teenager, or a child.

message 11: by Joanne Paula (new)

Joanne Paula Calma I love reading this kind of books!!!!!Because it makes me become a more better young lady:)

message 12: by Darby (new)

Darby I love this series so much. It combines three of my favorite things, history, fiction, and royalty. =D

message 13: by Anastasia Garcia (last edited Jul 08, 2012 07:37PM) (new)

Anastasia Garcia This is one of my favorite series, I've read these (and the Dear America series) since I was 8 years old! In school we are taught histories seen through a textbook, but these books sought to teach young girls what it feels like to live history.

With epilogues and historical notes, young readers can pursue their curiosity past the last page of the diary into real research.

message 14: by Melany (last edited Jul 18, 2012 06:21AM) (new)

Melany I love these books!!
I love reading "diaries" so this is perfect for me!
My Favorite is Anastasia!

message 15: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey I absolutely love these books & the author! The first book I read was about Anastasia & I was absolutely hooked. I finished them each in just a day or two when I was younger. They are so interesting and they're fun to read while being so informative. This is definitely a great way to spin off a history lesson. These are still my favorite books almost a decade later.

message 16: by Lashya (new)

Lashya Wilson I have yet to read 15 of them, but I WILL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

message 17: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey I have all of these, so good! Educational and interesting! My first one was Marie Antionette. I keep them all in the order I read them!

message 18: by Giovanna (new)

Giovanna Mancinelli Ive read almost all of the european princess ones, since I am studying Europe in school.

message 19: by Hannah (last edited Feb 13, 2014 04:37PM) (new)

Hannah Does anyone know how or where to get these books?
I bought a couple when I was 14 in 2005 but it looks like almost all of them have gone out of print :(
I want to read all of them.
(Im in Canada)

message 20: by Kirsten (new)

Kirsten Aww, I loved this series! Looks like someone added some irrelevant books to the end of the list, though. I'm going to remove those that are not in this series. :)

message 21: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I remember reading these books as a child. I was obsessed. They sparked my passion for history, as well as reading. I own them all. Perhaps I should go back and read them again.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

I loved these books, and still do. The formula is fun, immersive, educational and they're so preeeety! I love how the girls covered are so diverse. I'm lucky enough to own them all, and they sit in prose of place on one of my many bookshelves. I wish they'd make more, I'd definitely buy them too.

message 23: by Kimberley (new)

Kimberley These books started my love for Elizabeth I, Anastasia and Marie Antoinette. I have 12 of 20 books but it is so hard to find them these days, especially in Australia, as they are out of print. If they re-booted the series and did more princesses, I'm definitely going to be first in line for them.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

i love this series <3

message 25: by Vennela (new)

Vennela Mallampati My least favorite is Lady of Palenque. It was so boring and I couldn't follow it that much.....

message 26: by Vennela (new)

Vennela Mallampati My first one I read was Eleanor of Aquitaine. It got me hooked!!

message 27: by Vennela (new)

Vennela Mallampati I've read 15 of the books, abandoned 1, had the opportunity to read 2, and haven't read 5 in total.

message 28: by Emma (new)

Emma Kirton I've wanted to read this entire series since I first read Cleopatra in elementary, and now I'm finally going through them all. My favs so far have been Kristina, Eleanor, Mary, Jahanara and Kazunomiya. Can't wait until I've finished them all!

message 29: by Vennela (new)

Vennela Mallampati Omigosh, I LOVE Jahanara and Kazunomiya!!!
