namericanwordcat Do you mean books where the leads are crime bosses?

message 2: by Janelle (new)

Janelle Taylor Sorry I can't vote for any of the mob romances because I haven't read any of those listed.

message 3: by Cathiecaffey (new)

Cathiecaffey I realized I never read this theme!

message 4: by Tammy (last edited Nov 01, 2012 11:47AM) (new)

Tammy I normally would not have read mob romance but glad I read Devils Eyes and Devils Revenge by Jennifer Loren

message 5: by Maria (new)

Maria Jose The only books in this list that I enjoy the most is siempre by J.M. mobster girl and awakening the mobster by amy rachiele.

message 6: by Natalie (new)

Natalie There are several books I truly enjoyed in this list - like Sempre by J.M.Darhower, The mobster trilogy (Mobster's girl, Awakening a mobster and Mobster's vendeta) by Amy Rachiele, Beautiful Disaster and Redemption by Francette Phall. Other few books I have read from the list, are very average and forgettable.

***J*** What about Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas

message 9: by Robin (new)

Robin How could I not vote for Melanie Harlow's Speak Easy?
OMG- that book had it all: steam, stakes, and whiskey! I love books with prohibition-era mobsters.

Natalie Jetta wrote: "What about Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas"

I have not read that one. Is it good?

message 11: by Anna (new)

Anna i dint yet read Butiful dissaster but is the lead a Mafia Boss there

message 12: by Makhda (new)

Makhda I didn't realize that I have so many I 'want-to-read' on this list.

message 13: by Laura (new)

Laura I was looking for a list like this for soooooo long!!!

message 14: by Sarah (new)

Sarah That's weird that hopeless would be on this list.

message 15: by Sönïa (new)

Sönïa Dhillion Edge of never & thoughtless is not a mob story for gods sake

message 16: by La-Lionne (new)

La-Lionne This list is all messed up. At least one third of the books on the list have absolutely nothing to do with mafia/mob.
For instance:
- thoughtless
- hopeless
- edge of never
- fsog
- love unscripted/unreversed
- mighty storm
- the edge of always
- on the island

I'm sure there are many others which I haven't read yet, that doesn't belong on this list. It's misleading. Someone will by a book expecting to read about mafia, and get college drama instead.
It says that anyone can add books o the list. But who is managing it?

message 17: by Deb (new)

Deb This list needs some editing, not reliable.

message 18: by Linda (new)

Linda Natalie wrote: "Jetta wrote: "What about Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas"

message 19: by Linda (new)

Linda Yes, Mafia Captive by Kitty Thomas is dark and riveting as all of her books are.

message 20: by Amy (new)

Amy Burch A Love of Vengeance (Wanted Men, #1) by Nancy Haviland
A Love of Vengeance by Nancy Haviland. I loved it!

message 21: by Linda (new)

Linda I haven't read this one but I will check it out. Right now reading Karina Halle's Artist Trilogy.

Aryana What's the best mafia romance book to read?

message 25: by Lindi (new)

Lindi Aryana wrote: "What's the best mafia romance book to read?"

Try the Battaglia Mafia Series by Sienna Mynx. The first book is Destino. This is truly a mafia series with intense romance and angst and all the mafia family/boss drama you can stomach. Well written series with great character development as the series progresses.

message 26: by Sönïa (new)

Sönïa Dhillion Anna wrote: "i dint yet read Butiful dissaster but is the lead a Mafia Boss there"

No anna the hero gf abbey knows the mob. Its a great read but more contemporory than mob romance. I mean the mob bit comes into the story like a star cominig in a film but just as a appearance they don't have a main role.

If you want mob then look for bound by honor , bound by duty both books are by cora reily the main theme of the book is mob. But i personally enjoyed the second book more.

message 27: by Shanon (new)

Shanon Stamey The Ruthless People Series is by far my favorite. I am making my way through this list and so far none of the other books can compare.

message 28: by Dharyl (last edited May 24, 2015 10:02PM) (new)

Dharyl Ruthless People Series is by far the best. The plot is well thought and developed. The lines are intense. It's one of a kind.

message 29: by Rebecca (last edited May 26, 2015 06:16PM) (new)

Rebecca This list is very misleading. I've read a few of the books listed and those books don't have Mob/Mafia themes in them. I expected to be looking at books with those themes and am not sure if any of these really do have Mom/Mafia themes in it.

Thoughtless? Edge of Never?? Even Beautiful Disaster is cutting it close since the Mob/Mafia theme isn't central to the book at all.

Can someone make a list of actual Mob/Mafia romance books? I would reallllly appreciate it. Also, actually manage the list, too so books that don't have it, can be taken off or whatever.

I know its annoying its a good thing you i have read beautiful diaster and edge of never but what of the folks that have'nt they will come to this list thinking those books are mob related. Anyhow have you read
Bound by honor - reilly kelly the whole series is mob . I liked the 2nd and 3rd more but its good its about mob society.

message 31: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Sönïa wrote: "Rebecca wrote: "This list is very misleading. I've read a few of the books listed and those books don't have Mob/Mafia themes in them. I expected to be looking at books with those themes and am not..."

Yeah, no kidding. And I haven't read any mobster/mafia type books. I looked at this list so that I could go through and see if I caught any books that had the main male character as a villain or antihero since at the moment I'm kind hooked on those types of characters. I figured crime related books would be the place to look. But since this list mixed and misleading, not sure where to even go. I'll have to take a look at the Bound by Honor series and see if that's something I'll read. Thanks for the recommendation :D

message 32: by Lindi (new)

Lindi Can anyone suggest a series/book about the mafia involving the triads as well instead of just the Italians and the Irish. Would love to discover their code of honor or how they operate in comparison to the others.

message 33: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Smith I was 20 when I met Joey,40,Italian with the Lucchese Crime Family and was brought into his world. He shot Giacomo DiNorscio, also a mob figure and testified against him and we were placed in Witness Protection and given new identities. He eventually died of the HIV virus leaving me behind. I've been released from Witness Protection October of 2014 due to writing my memoir "NO MORE!" HBO special, MOB STORIES,a book, THE BOYS FROM NEW JERSEY, the movie FIND ME GUILTY, are all about the event that landed me on Witness Protection. I've written from the eyes of a young, naive, girl's point of view, not a mobster's, leaving everything behind, my child, my family,my identity, to be with the man I loved, the man I couldn't live without, not realizing there would be consequences to pay. Would you be interested in reading something like this? Barbara

I've just started this series and I'm at 46% of Destino and I was going to give up on it because I find it's moving kind of slow, but after I read your comments, I will keep going with it and hope for the best! Thanks :)

message 37: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Im trying to find a book, idk the author or the title. Its a mafia romance book. Its about a young girl who works at diner, which is owned by her family, and she meets four or 5 brothers who are wealthy and they live in a mansion on top of a hill. I believe their family crest is a falcon? two of the brothers are twins and one of them is in a wheel chair. The youngest brother falls in love with the main character, but his family tells him to stay way. I believe it was published in 2015 by a British author? Thanks!

message 50: by Moosh (new)

Moosh Hi
I am looking for a book very similar to "his virgin queen" , where the dad is a mafia guy, is forced to marry of the girl to the hero (not from mafia , maybe orphan) even though she is promised to some guy in the mafia. The guy chooses to marry the girl out of revenge, at the end they fall in love the girls’ mother divorces the dad and moves in with the couple. So, the girl is not orphan but dad is a jerk. Anybody know which book I’m talking about? please help, I’m going crazy not finding the name.
