Some of these take place on planets - most notably The Martian. Would the moderators like those removed?

Personally I think they don't count. I remember last time we had a similar category, there was the same confusion. If someone wants to read a book set on another planet, go for it, but it would be best if we didn't actually suggest those books, imo.
If a book is set on both a planet and in space, but mostly in space, then it counts (example: Illuminae starts on a planet).
