Books that have interesting, unique and/or unusual graphic design elements; books where graphic design plays a more significant role than usual for the reader's experience.
Examples of what I mean:
- Elements such as page numbers, page margins, layout or the text itself contains extra visual things that may tie into the themes/story of the book
- Extra elements in the cover such as special dust jackets or extra folds, layers, anything unusual, intentionally designed
- Pages with visuals that serve a purpose other than traditional illustration (such as handwritten letters or screenshots of websites etc)
