Cassidy I appreciate this list, It upsets me that so many people hate on so many books, why don't we show love and appreciation for good writing and people who have benefited from such a talent? I don't think all books are golden, but someone might. Thanks for standing up for what you believe in and the books that make you happy. :)

Brian :)

message 3: by Ethan (new)

Ethan That Maximum Ride series looks absolutely horrible.

message 4: by Karishma (new)

Karishma makes more sense than the other list. yes harry potter on top!

message 5: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Can we add to it?

message 6: by Clíodhna (new)

Clíodhna Great list!! There are a couple that I wouldn't like but I'm not a pointless hating machine like some people so I don't care! Have fun reading people of Goodreads!!

Clíodhna Ethan wrote: "That Maximum Ride series looks absolutely horrible."

Maximum Ride is absolutely brilliant! The first three are brilliant then the fourth was a bit of a disappointment but still quite good and then the 5th and 6th were better than the 4th but not as good as the first three! The most recent one is a catastrophe though!! But even just read the first three! I guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised!!

drowningmermaid I know this contradicts the spirit of this list... but I'm peculiarly glad to see the Twilight series is absent here, even after being listed at the tops of so many "BEST BWOOK EVAH" lists.

Maybe I should give it time.

I just like to imagine that Twihards have developed a sense of humor about themselves.

*note* I wouldn't unfriend anyone who put the Twilight saga as their favorite books. One of my best friends adores them. I even liked the first one, although most of that liking was predicated on the disastrously false notion that the series would improve.

message 9: by Turtle (new)

Turtle So many wonderful books on this list.

message 10: by Meem (last edited May 08, 2012 07:02AM) (new)

Meem Some of them I get. First Step 2 Forever by Lord GaGa, Confessions of a Guidette by Spooki, Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler (the name's bad enough by itself), My Booky Wook by (B)Russell (Did I say Sprout? I meant Brand.) Sure, I'm with you on those. I definitely don't want to know How To Make Love Like A Porn Star (that's my story and I'm sticking to it.) I don't want to try HEALING the homosexual and I definitely don't want to read Every Day a Friday (I think Rebecca Black has adequately proved that Friday isn't a good word at all.)
But:
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl?! Obviously some of you have never had a childhood!
HARRY POTTER?
To Kill A Mockingbird? The Lord Of The Rings?

You mad bro?

message 11: by Brian (last edited May 09, 2012 08:22PM) (new)

Brian Spiekerman The title of this list makes me laugh. It's a dealbreaker inception.

I'm glad the list was made. To paraphrase Prez Snow in the Hunger Games movie, a spark of negativity is fine, just so long as it is contained. Stem the flow, if you will. Contain it to a manageable puddle. Where there's negativity, there has to be more positivity to go along with it, to keep the positive vibe beating.

message 12: by Farah (new)

Farah Yay :D

message 13: by Susana (new)

Susana Hannah wrote: "Can we add to it?"

Yes, you can always add books to a listopia. On the top, there are two tabs one of them says "add books to this list." The rest is self-explanatory :)

message 14: by Whitedove (new)

Whitedove I kind of want to vote for all of them. I do wish there was any way to add just about any and all religious works. I really can't think of any book that I would blacklist someone for liking. Sure, some they would need a really good explanation for, but I'd still hear them out. It's odd what strikes a chord with people sometimes.

Anyone can add books to this list.
