Why is Millions of Cats not safe for kids?

Even worse is when some idiot tries to say that this is a metaphor for children and their parents. Do we really want children thinking they capriciously use up their parents?
I remember feeling devastated when a teacher laid this on the class.

These books shouldn't be on this list because they are real children's books. The list says this is for adult books no matter our opinions:
Love You Forever is a beautiful children's book about unconditional love.
Millions of Cats is a classic children's tale.
I Hate School is a funny book about a girl with an imagination, much like Dr. Seuess's And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street, a children's classic.
Heart and the bottle and Duck, Death and the Tulip were written to help children deal with death.
Dear Mili is dark but it is a classic for older children. This isn't about children's books that are not for very little children. This is about adult books.
The Giving Tree was written for children. I read it in 2nd grade and loved it. I was raised in a very liberal family and continue to be an environmentalist.
