Mythology for Elementary School

Some of these books contain modern versions of the myths and some are the actual myths themselves.
For those of you not familiar with AR levels...AR stand for Accelerated Reader Level. The way you read it: 5.5 would mean that the book is appropriate for students in 5th grade, 5th month. Whether a book is appropriate for a student is really decided on by the parent, but the leveling is more about reading ability. Keep in mind that just because a book is leveled at a 5.5, it doesn't mean that a 3rd or even a 2nd grader can't read it.
One more thing: It is my opinion that the levels are simply guidelines to help kids pick good fit books, but kids should be able to pick books that are above and below their level as long as they are interested in a book every so often. Being militant about it only turns kids off to reading. I hope I've been helpful. You can use www.arbookfind.com to retrieve levels for other books.
