This doesn't look like the "Best Books of 2019". It looks more like "All the Books of 2019". Really, how can you claim that 540 books are The Best of any Year, especially in April of the year? I'm wondering what the purpose of your list really is?

BTW, "Territory of Light" was published in 1978. The one listed is a reprint; I've noticed a few duplicates in your list; several of the books won't be published until 2020.

As to the books you found which were not first published in 2019, which numbers are they on? I could remove them if you like.

Dread Nation, #380 today, was published in April 2018. Terrific book, but not eligible for this list.

I found a ton more that don't belong while browsing for something new to read, and probably just scratched the surface. Some of the following books are contained in numbers where several books are tied for position. As you can tell from the numbers, this was just a casual browse of a page or two--I didn't check every book. I'm guessing all of the Craig Johnson books are here in error.

At least 5 of the 7 books on page 8 were published before 2019.

In order to be useful to those of us who actually use this list to find something new and wonderful, a few rules might be established.
1--if a book is "untitled," no one outside of a very small circle has laid an eye on it--advance copies always have a title, and even folks within an author's work groups have a title to list--untitled should disqualify an entry
2--this isn't for the best book you read this year, but the best book you read that was actually published this year

Number 12 - House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City, #1) by Sarah J Maas isn't set for publication until March 2020. Why's it on the list?

Multiple Harry Potter books as well as Anne Frank's diary (twice).
