Fær fjórar stjörnur frekar en þrjár af því textinn er svo djöfulli fallegur. Stundum fullmikið trúarrúnk en inn á milli snilldarlegir partar af manni sem hefur fundið Guð sinn sem hann elskar af öllu hjarta.

Ágústínus ritar kraftmikinn og fagran texta um leit sína að Guði og fráhvarf frá villutrú. Hann leiðir lesandann um textann og virðist í senn vera sjálfur að leita skilnings á skapara sínum, sem og að uppfræða lesendur. Ákaflega nútímalegur texti, þótt hann sé rúmlega 1600 ára gamall.
