Good Minds Suggest—Gena Showalter's Favorite Paranormal Romances

Posted by Goodreads on January 2, 2013
Gena Showalter In the high-stakes fictional worlds of Gena Showalter, the demons unleashed from Pandora's box still wield power, aliens coexist with humans, and even Alice in Wonderland must battle zombies. Best known for her mythology-inspired Lords of the Underworld series, Showalter also penned the Alien Huntress series and the White Rabbit Chronicles series as well as numerous paranormal romances for both adults and teens. Her new book, Last Kiss Goodnight, launches the Otherworld Assassin series, set in the same futuristic world of Alien Huntress, where dangerous aliens on Earth are weeded out by the Alien Investigation and Removal agency. When black ops agent Solomon Judah is captured and caged for a traveling circus, the sadistic zookeeper tasks his deaf daughter with keeping the savage man alive. Showalter shares her favorite romances with a paranormal edge.

Blood Rights by Kristen Painter (Goodreads Author)
"Kristen Painter takes on vampires in a whole new way. The romance between Mal and Chrysabelle is dark and lush and unforgettable, with a setting and plot to match. You won't be able to put this one down!"

Don't You Wish by Roxanne St. Claire (Goodreads Author)
"Not all paranormals come in dark packages! This trip to a parallel universe was hysterical and heartbreaking, climbing into Annie Nutter's terribly subpar and particularly uncool band geek shoes and ending up transported to a new world, new life, new hot boyfriend, and some dicey new problems. It reminded me of a mash-up of Freaky Friday and Mean Girls with a pitch-perfect ending I never saw coming."

A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole (Goodreads Author)
"A Hunger Like No Other features a to-die-for alpha hero willing to chew off his own leg to reach his intended mate—I'm shivering already!—and offers intricate world building, the sexiest males of all time, the most amazing women, and some of the wittiest dialogue I've ever read. Cole hits all the right notes."

Iced by Karen Marie Moning
"Iced has an unconventional and wonderfully dynamic heroine, with three sexy alpha males determined to have her (at the right time) and a dark, dying world populated with the creepiest of creatures. But even in the darkness there is light, and I love me some life-saving light."

Lord of Rage by Jill Monroe
"All my favorite things in a story: a thrilling paranormal romance filled with fantasy and action, featuring a tortured Berserker hero and a determined would-be warrior princess with an emotional punch that will leave you breathless!"
