JC: Like flying a big spaceship with no instructions

JC: It varies, at the moment: Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out

JC: Be careful, get down, don't touch that - dogs wee on posts

JC: Is flying counted as a talent or would it come under 'super powers'?

SS: What is your greatest achievement?

JC: My family and supporting them by doing things I enjoy doing

SS: What’s your greatest flaw?

JC: Procrastination

SS: What’s your best quality?

JC: Kind and empathic... possibly.

SS: If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

JC: Me is fine, only with a bit more money.

SS: Who is your favorite fictional hero?

JC: Steve Austin, The Six Million Dollar Man

SS: If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

JC: I was brought up catholic so it would be interesting to sit down and have a chat with Jesus. The child in me would ask if he really did all the things he's supposed to have done.

SS: What is your biggest pet peeve?

JC: Flies. Their purpose in life has been explained to me but I wish they could just go about it in a less irritating way

SS: What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

JC: Football, swimming, making bread, reading, visiting London galleries and big old country houses

SS: How would you describe perfect happiness?

JC: No wars, no waste and a whole lot of loving.

SS: What do you regret most?

JC: I don't really do regrets, publicly anyway

SS: What trait is most noticeable about you?

JC: Daydreaming often confused with not listening

SS: Who is your favorite fictional villain?

JC: White Wriggler from 1970's children's animation Robo Story.

SS: What’s your fantasy profession?

JC: Author/Illustrator/footballer/baker

SS: What 3 personal qualities are most important to you?

JC: Honesty, humour and patience.

SS: If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

JC: From the bottom up: toast, butter, marmite, poached egg, balsamic vinegar, smoked salmon, squeeze of lemon and a pinch of pepper.

SS: What are your 5 favorite songs?

JC: At the moment, in no particular order: Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley, Spiegel im spiegel - Arvo Part; Oh England My Lionheart - Kate Bush; Strange Fruit - Billy Holiday, The Pearl Fisher's Duet - Bizet.

SS: What were your previous occupations?

JC: Not so much occupations - more part time jobs to get me through college holidays and an undisclosed amount of time afterwards, include balloon seller, road sweeper, clamped car locator and leafleter (for one day after crashing my bike), school cleaner, cattery assistant

JC: Illustrator/Author
