SS: How would you describe your life in only 8 words?
SS: What is your motto or maxim?
MH: I don't know that I have a motto or a maxim. I believe however in enlarging the circle of love around, and pursuing your dreams passionately.

SS: How would you describe perfect happiness?
SS: What’s your greatest fear?
MH: on an ultimate scale...the death of one of our children...on a more personal day-to-day level, I probably fear writer's bloc.
SS: If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?
MH: egypt, visiting the valley of the kings
SS: With whom in history do you most identify?
MH: no one in particular
SS: Which living person do you most admire?
MH: too broad
SS: What are your most overused words or phrases?
MH: I'm a songwriter by trade...so I'd have to say 'love.'
SS: What do you regret most?
MH: many things...can't answer honestly so I would say you make peace with what you can and ask for forgiveness of the rest
SS: If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?
MH: I'd enjoy long -jumping in the 28 foot range.
SS: What is your greatest achievement?
MH: The children are presently healthy and happy and fairly well-adjusted...so far so good.
SS: What’s your greatest flaw?
MH: can't remember names
SS: What’s your best quality?
MH: unafraid artistically
SS: If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?
MH: I don't process information in that way. I am glad to be in my skin but wish I didn't have back pain, etc...
SS: What trait is most noticeable about you?
MH: passionate about music, theatre, literature...
SS: Who is your favorite fictional hero?
MH: So many...maybe Seymour in J.D.Salinger's, NINE STORIES...
SS: Who is your favorite fictional villain?
MH: hmmm...perhaps Scrooge, but then he becomes quite the hero...have to think about that one.
SS: If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?
MH: Well, I hate to seem non-original, but I'd have to say I'd like to meet the historical Jesus...as long as my Aramaic was in good order.
Coming from a very different orientation, I'd like to meet Helen of Troy... I'd like to visualize the beauty that sailed a thousand ships!
SS: What is your biggest pet peeve?
MH: don't have one
SS: What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?
MH: I am a songwriter first, and that is my favorite occupation...
SS: What’s your fantasy profession?
MH: playing wide-reciever for the Cleveland Browns...
SS: What 3 personal qualities are most important to you?
MH: a loving nature, a forgiving nature and a sense of unending possibilities...
SS: If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

MH: don't even get me started...

MH: If you can do something else...do it.

MH: What comes first, the lyric or the music? I don't hear a lot from my readers of literature yet.

MH: sledge hammer operator, waiter, ice cream scooper, car parker, recording artist, songwriter, playwright...

MH: playwright...until the reviews.

MH: yes and yes...at Bullis Prep and then Williams College

MH: too many to name one...
