Who doesn't like a bit of celebrity gossip? From Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton to Taylor Swift and whoever she's spotted canoodling with next, it seems like we can't get enough.

For those seeking some old Hollywood glamour with more than a side of intrigue, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is here for your summer reading. The latest novel from Taylor Jenkins Reid (author of Maybe in Another Life and One True Loves) tells the story of an aging and reclusive movie icon who's finally ready to tell all about her glamorous and scandalous life. Mysteriously, she chooses an unknown magazine reporter for the coveted assignment.

"There's nothing better than losing yourself in the stories of glamorous, sensational celebrities," says Reid. "Here are my favorite books about real-life Hollywood scandals."

"Back in the late 1980s, Ava hired a ghostwriter and spilled the dirt on Mickey Rooney, Lana Turner, Frank Sinatra, Howard Hughes, and more. But by the end, she got cold feet and called it off. In 2013, her story finally made its way into the world, and, boy, is it juicy."

"Anne Helen Petersen has a Ph.D. in Celebrity Gossip (really!), and she puts it to good use analyzing celebrity scandals of the classic film age. What makes this book impossible to put down is that Petersen not only shares the dirt on the scandals themselves, but also considers what the actions, coverage, and public perceptions tell us about the times."

"When it comes to beauty, talent, and sheer determination, it doesn't get much better than Lucille Ball. In her autobiography Lucy shares what it takes to make it up the mountain, how she navigated the Hollywood blacklist, and some of the torment and heartbreak of her marriage to Desi Arnaz."

The Kid Stays in the Picture by Robert Evans

"A Hollywood producer in the 1970s who would one day run Paramount Studios, Robert Evans has been married seven times and is a completely bewildering character. His biography lets loose on many fascinating moments in film history, including the filming of The Godfather and what happened when Ali MacGraw left him for Steve McQueen."

Furious Love: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and The Marriage of the Century by Sam Kashner and Nancy Schoenberger

"When it comes to great Hollywood loves, it is hard to beat these two. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton sure knew how to drive each other crazy and fascinate the public. This book tells their often-outrageous love story with a surprising amount of intimacy and humanity."

Dan Vinson Great list! Though it isn't necessarily replete with scandal, All About All About Eve is a great read with "prime sinnuendo." (Thanks to Sid Hudgens from L.A. Confidential for that!)

Sue what is price of books

Charlee I love reading about Old Hollywood - not just the scandals. Everything was so studio whitewashed - all the stars who were larger than life were truly mere humans living behind a facade of PR puffery. I cut my teeth on those old B&W movies. Good memories.

Logan Paul Celebrity gossips from Hollywood are one of the funniest and interesting on the social media these days but it 's just the waste of precious time. Student consider taking assignment writing service when they have problem in writing assignments.

Williambarnwell Really interesting writing style, I enjoyed reading this so much! The quality of writing always depends from writer and his standards of academic writing, so it's usually a writer with a respective degree who writes better.
