In between making you swoon and making you sweat, Lauren Blakely wants to make you laugh. After turning up the heat in her Seductive Nights series, she got down to serious funny business, introducing the first of her "men of rom-com" in Big Rock. (Have you seen the cover? You should really see the cover.) Suffice to say, these aren't your mother's romantic comedy heroes. Packing in foul-mouthed humor and sexy dirty talk, Blakely's men are all hysterical bad boys with hearts of gold…or, at the very least, a goldlike substance. This month the next rom-com man swaggers onto the scene in the standalone romance Well Hung. With his own wildly successful construction business, Wyatt only has one rule for himself: Don't mix business and pleasure. It's a cliché, sure, but one he knows he should follow—right up until the moment he's "accidentally" hooking up with his fiery assistant, Natalie, on a Vegas business trip. Isn't there another appropriate cliché for this? "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" Yeah, they can try that out.

Blakely shares the books that hooked her on romance, inspired some of the Vegas shenanigans in Well Hung, and made her want to write her own "must-keep-our-hands-off-each-other-because-we-work-together" book.

What was the first romance book you read that made you think, "Hey! I want to do this for a living"?

Danielle Steel's The Promise is one of the first romances I fell in love with when I picked it up at the library as a teen. It's so utterly romantic—a young couple is separated in an accident, and yet they still find their way back to each other years later. Steel, as well as Sidney Sheldon, drew me in during my high school days to romance novels. Later, the current generation of sexy books hooked me onto the possibility that I could write in this genre.

In Well Hung, Wyatt's sexy assistant, Natalie, is supposed to be off-limits…. What other mixing-business-and-pleasure book would you recommend?

About That Fling by Tawna Fenske is a heartfelt, funny, "must-keep-our-hands-off-each-other-because-we-work-together" rom-com that I adored. Bossman by Vi Keeland is fantastic, too!

What underrated book do you think all romance lovers should read?

I love pretty much every book Samanthe Beck has written. I wouldn't call her underrated, but I would love for even more readers to devour her books! Start with Light Her Fire because…sexy, dirty-talking fireman. I also think Sylvia Pierce is going to be a star, and I adore her Bad Boy novellas.

What happened in Vegas definitely does not stay in Vegas in Well Hung. What's one of your favorite romances with a crazy Vegas scene (or two)?

Sweet Filthy Boy by Christina Lauren is one of the most delicious books I've ever read, and it begins with wild escapades in Las Vegas. A must-read romance!

Marie Force just gave me an advance copy of Sex Machine, and I'm reading that as well as Spectacular Rascal by Lili Valente. Both are so yummy!
