Good Omens is the first audio version I've listened to of a book I've already read in print. It was an interesting experience. Martin Jarvis does an excellent job of performing this insanely funny book. I love the voice he gave to Shadwell, a character who seemed fairly minor when I read the book myself. His comic delivery is perfect for the book.

A great teaming of two authors. This novel reminded me quite a bit of Christopher Moore's work with its well-written hilarity. The story is about a misplaced Anti-Christ, some little-known ancient prophecies, and a demon and angel teaming up in an attempt to stop the end of the world. Top it off with a healthy spoonful of humor and you have one outstanding read.

I always love Terry Pratchett, and this book doesn't disappoint. There's an ineffable quality to his writing, which is definitely present here.

Totally loved this book. While it went off on many unrelated asides and footnotes, those just enhanced my adoration for the experience. Not only was the overall plot engaging, you really get to know so many characters. You even end up liking some of the 'evil' ones.

I'll get more out of this if I take the time to read it myself. It's not something I can listen to while doing other things.
