This seriously pains me to write. I have never read a Terry Pratchett book before and I adore Neil Gaiman! But this was a mess! I did not once laugh!!!! This was the most unfunny book I've ever read that's supposed to be funny! I love the premise! Angel and demon lose satan's son, Armageddon is supposed to happen in a week, cheeky banter between angel and demon blah blah blah. Well it all failed to me. I have no idea how it took me so long to read this book. It's completely up my alley. Quirky, irreverent, laugh out loud funny (multiple times...I feel so bad for my neighbors). And underneath all the absurdity, there are interesting ideas about good vs. evil, theology, and the like. Really, really fun. I can see myself re-reading this one a lot in the coming years. ...more

It's an old favorite that I read a long time ago, so I thought I'd try the audiobook. The narrator is OK, but could have been better with some voice characterizations. It's still charming and silly. ...more
