I actually cried at the end of this book. And got shivers.

The multiple stories intertwine well, and the characters are worth caring about. In fact, though Augustine is not someone I would consider likable, his flaws are interesting rather than aggravating, and the character of Sully is quite likable, so it balances out.

Off to see if this author has written anything else... aw, dang, it's "regular" fiction. Well, if she ever puts her mind to making another sci-fi-ish book, I'm in.

Shelves: apocalyptic
spoiler alert....

Yes, apocalyptic, but we don't find out what happened on earth.
It ended as though it's a part one of who-knowns-how-many : I hate these that hang on a cliff at the end.

This was read at a quick pace, and was a entertaining read. Some of the book really was done well, especially some of the analogies.

I loved this book so much that it hurt when it ended.
