I've found myself on a Christopher Moore kick of late. The Stupidest Angel is your typical Moore book; packed with interesting characters, dark humor, and unique plot twists. Did I mention zombies? I thought so.

The basic gist is that an angel is sent to earth to perform a Christmas miracle due to

Christopher Moore is of my favorite fun time authors, but seriously let me down with this one. I can do silly nonsense just fine, but it has to be funny. This was just boring and stupid like it was put together in a hurry in time to make press for the holidays. Arrhh! Sort of a waste.

This book adds an element that is very popular in TV and popular media today. As a fan of that particular genre (a quick google of the book will give it away, bu

I keep meaning to read this for Christmas and I've finally remembered.

Just your average zombie Christmas story! =) A cute little trifle, with a couple of good lines and one great one: "The Elks, Moose, Masons, and VFWs, who were basically the same bunch of drunk old guys, planned furiously for their annual Christmas parade down Cypress Street, the theme of which this year would be Patriotism in the Bed of a Pickup (mainly because that had been the theme of their Fourth of July parade and everyo

Despite not liking the narrator, there were more than a couple laugh-out-loud moments. A very quick listen.
