This is not JUST another historical fiction novel.
It is the story that perhaps could not have been shared by the dead.

How beautiful and tragic. In the midst of such suffering, pain, and destruction of the war. Liesel's story could have been anyone's story.
It seems to have been lost and forgotten like the many stories and souls that were taken...
The haunting of human suffering, love, and memories...
The Book Thief is truly a masterpiece.
It is a reminder to the world that such violations again ...more

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars because this was a tremendous book. The beginning was a little confusing, but if you keep reading the book will start to make sense. I still don't understand the prologue, but I don't think I'm missing anything important. Overall I just really loved this book and i could read it again. ...more
