I don't read very many contemporaries, but I am so glad I listened to my friend and read this.

Fangirl is a beautiful story about a girl who has to redefine herself when she and her twin sister go to college. The twist it, that even though they are going to the same college, her sister does not want to room together. The main character is also a fanfiction writer, with a pretty large following, which she also choses to define her self by in the beginning.

This book was really hard for me to rate, I really liked the story, but Cath's attitude was AWFUL through almost the whole book. She just kept keeping things to herself, never wanting to talk and bottling up her feelings, bitching and freaking out every time her mom's name came up, and refusing, for a REALLY long time to get over Levi kissing a different girl, when they technically weren't even dating in the first place. I liked this book okay. I didn't like it how Ms. Rowell makes Harry Potter be a part of her books "universe." I was lead to believe that Simon Snow was just supposed to stand in for Harry Potter. I'll write a quickie reviewie~ Haha I tried to make it rhyme but then it just sounds stupid. Never mind.

This book is amazing I LOVE it!! The characters are very likable and I love all of them, most of all Cath and her relationship with Wren (and how their name came to be!). The romance is also very believable and I absolutely LOVE how everything turned out!! All in all, a FANTASTIC read and I highly recommend it to John Green lovers etc... And Eleanor & Park lovers too, of course. ^.^ ...more
