It's like reading Disney story from darker point of view..

First, this story is definitely not for everyone and it's hard to say if it actually okay for YA under 15 though. Because the story is very dark, cruel, and twisted. Our heroine here is being tortured and shamed almost on daily basis, since the enemy took her kingdom. She is broken, but struggling to live for her kingdom.

Oh so good! Great story, reminded me of Throne of Glass at about 50%. I really missed that type of story with a strong female character going through lots of unfairness and hardships, which irons the character.
The first book feels a bit long and there is not enough action, but I think it’s a necessary sacrifice, some kind of preparation for the main event to happen.
I love that there are some German words in the narration, it adds spiciness to the story. And the names… are just gorgeous.
