I wish I could give it 4-1/2 stars. I really liked the book. It was more a series of short stories with Olive a background character in most of them, although it does tell us a lot about Olive. Thirteen interconnected stories, all of which have Olive Kitteridge in them. Olive is a retired teacher in a small Maine town and the stories reflect the complicated relationships Olive has with those in town who have crossed her path over the years. One of my favorites for 2008!
