Perhaps it’s where I am in life that I appreciated this novel.
The first chapter sets the tone that finds myself not liking Olive at all. Thirteen interconnected stories, all of which have Olive Kitteridge in them. Olive is a retired teacher in a small Maine town and the stories reflect the complicated relationships Olive has with those in town who have crossed her path over the years. One of my favorites for 2008!
