I realize that I am among those in the bottom quarter of overall ratings of this book. I did like the book - so gave it 3 stars = I liked it. However it just did not blow me away like it did so many others.

"That was the thing about lies: they demanded commitment. Once you lied, you had to stick to your story."
This is a powerful story, centered around parents and our struggles. But it's a rough story. It really made me look at parents and kids and really analyze - how we judge each other but also ourselves. Are we enough? Are we doing enough? Are we perfect parents? Do we get tired sometimes, not be our best, most patient selves? Do we struggle?
