This was a cute brother's best friend 1NS to relationship romance. I cared about the heroine, and the plotting and pacing felt solid and a bit like a category romance. I liked that the heroine's arc was about reclaiming her life for herself, including her sex life. I wish I'd gotten a deeper sense of the hero. I want to try more books by this author.

I enjoyed this story of the guy that has a crush on his best friend's sister. We have a runaway bride, a secret romance, and a rather sweet story. There is no ground-breaking content here, but it is well written and engaging.

Bad Blood is a super cozy read, the angst isn't that high, and the romance is sweet.

Funny, she wouldn't have thought her day could get any more embarrassing. But then she'd always been an overachiever.

As always, I liked M. Malone's voice, and Georgie was an enjoyable character to spend time with. I really liked how a lot of the arc had to do with ensuring Georgie had control over herself and her relationship, how she got to reclaim her sexuality for her own self. Or, as she returned her engagement ring to her cheating fiance, knowing that she could buy herself diamonds, diamonds th

This book was just okay for me. It's a light, fun read. I knocked the whole thing out in a couple of hours.

My main issue is that the heroine left me flat. She's 23, filthy rich, and extremely sheltered. She has a greeting card business (which I can only imagine has to be bankrolled by Daddy) but lives at home, has to call her boyfriend for help when her car breaks down, and doesn't even know how to pop the hood of her car by herself. The only moment of strength or independence you see is (view

Awww. This was a really sweet (and a little spicy) novella. The characters were relatable though I wish we had more time to get to know them better. Such are the woes of this format.

I read this as part of the Romance Sparks Joy group, where we are reading, and discussing the three books nominated for the 2019 RITAS written by AoC (Authors of Color). I thought this was delightful. I think Minx Malone is an extremely talented writer -- the amount of back story and character building she did in two chapters is more than many authors achieve with a whole novel. It was funny, it was emotional, it was delightful from start to finish. Minx Malone has a new fan in me. I can't wait ...more

This was filled with tropey-goodness. I think this story would have benefited from being a full-length novel, but as is it was great. At times, the self-deprecating "she deserves better than me" line got frustrating, as well as the whole "best friend dating sibling" thing. I think it could have gotten teased out better as a full-length novel. It was very sweet how Jamie was there for Georgie. I also enjoyed how Jamie encouraged Georgie to go out and figure out what she wants to do with her life. ...more

This has to be one of my very favourite tropes in romance and the author does a wonderful job with the sexual tension throughout which is key for me. The writing was so easy to fall into and I devoured this book over two nights. This is the first book I've read by this author, but it definitely won't be the last!

I might have liked this book better if it hadn't been set somewhere I used to live, but I found the thinly sketched details of DC and it's burbs distractingly unrealistic.

Sweet read. I love the brother’s sister is off limits trope. It was a quick paced romp that I really enjoyed. Jamie and Georgie were sweet, and now I have to go back and read King’s story in Bad King. Also... Sweet Nothings should be a real business. So cute!

No wonder this was nominated for a Rita. As always, good, solid writing. If you haven't yet, take a chance and read this.

This was fine. I mean, I was entertained but it’s nothing special that will stick with me.

Read this for Romance Sparks Joy book club. It's a novella but there wasn't much there. And areas of potential exploration (sex club) were never pursued.
