I absolutely loved this short novella. Very clever plot, the place where most westerners perform their hunter-gatherer instinct - the supermarket, is the setting. The characters, single Martin who takes a shine to Marianne who he spots in the supermarket. This is a thing, males glancing in female's shopping baskets to try and suss out if they are single, but never acting on anything because then they would have to change supermarkets. There are many lonely people who try to find their soulmate. What is the best place to find someone special? Friends are always willing to help. What about the places that we visit more frequently?
