It's not often I post reviews - I tend to stay away from reviewing... but I do know what I like to read and sometimes a book stays with me after I have read it and this is one of those books. Set for the most part in New Orleans this is a wonderful love story and I highly recommend it. I couldn't put it down (and my Nano has suffered! ROFL).

I really didn’t think that there was a book good enough to distract me from National Novel Writing Month, better known by its acronym NaNoWriMo. In 30 days I, along with thousands of other crazy people, have committed to produce a 50,000 word novel. My plan for November was basically just publishing the reviews that were sent in my reviewers and doing just enough to keep MM Good Book Reviews running smoothly ...more

Wowzers! Mercy Celeste is one of only authors who can write a very sex driven story and still manage to keep you hooked, give you tension and include a plot that doesn't make you want to gouge your eyes out with boredom!

The characters and plot were too unbelievable for me. All the Cajun Franklish (French/English) seemed forced, like Caleb was trying too hard. I also felt like the story took GFY one step forward, making it Hypno-gay. The electric sparks upon their first meeting and all the "why am I suddenly attracted to this man?" seemed way too far fetched. I stopped reading during their first sexual encounter when they had the "I'm clean, you've been careful" conversation. I understand the fantasy aspect, tha

I really don't know what to say about this book other than I loved it. It's very rare that a book catches my interest the way this one did. I fell in love with Darcy and Caleb almost immediately. They have great chemistry together. The book took me about 6 hours to read. I couldn't put it down, and finally finished it about 1:30 in the morning.
Mercy Celeste is a new author for me. I must say that she didn't disappoint me. I look forward to reading more of her work. ...more

You ever start a book, and not like it? Well, this was that book for me. Now several months later, it fit for one my challenges. I restarted with some trepidation, and I loved every freaking second of it! As a matter of fact, I'd be more than willing to read a sequel, because the added content seemed just a tad rushed at the end. Without spoiling it, we end chapter neuf, aka nine, and jump 3 years into the future, without any real warning. Still a good read!
